बात है Shah Rukh Khan की superhit film Josh (2000) की। इस film में SRK का look बेहद edgy और street-style था — और उस look को perfect बनाने के लिए Ashley Rebello ने कुछ ऐसा किया जो शायद किसी और की हिम्मत नहीं होती।
जब Ashley ने SRK की अपनी Jeans ही ले लीं!
Ashley ने podcast में खुलासा किया कि Josh film के लिए Shah Rukh Khan का जो look तैयार करना था, उसके लिए उन्हें एक perfect pair of jeans चाहिए थी। और वो perfect jeans उन्हें मिली — खुद Shah Rukh Khan की अपनी personal jeans में!
Ashley ने SRK की वो jeans ले लीं और साफ कह दिया —
“ये jeans आपको वापस नहीं मिलेंगी!”
क्यों? क्योंकि उन्हें काट छांट करनी थी — perfectly! Ashley का मानना था कि किसी नई jeans में वो natural worn-out feel नहीं आती जो SRK की पुरानी personal jeans में पहले से थी। उन्होंने उन jeans को और distress किया — उन्हें काटा, फाड़ा और perfect beat-up look दिया — ताकि Josh में Shah Rukh Khan का character बिल्कुल authentic और raw नज़र आए।
और वो look? वो आज भी fans को याद है!
यह किस्सा है इस बात की मिसाल कि Bollywood के great costume designers अपने काम के लिए कहाँ तक जा सकते हैं — चाहे superstar की jeans ही क्यों न लेनी पड़े! 😄
