In the first week of January, a grand industry event held at Marriott Kochi marked a defining moment for Royal Cinema, as its founder and chief, C. H. Mohammed, formally announced 3 upcoming feature films—two in Malayalam and one in Hindi—signaling a decisive creative expansion planned for 2026.

Hollywood Stunt Director Andrew Stehlin Joins Malayalam Cinema
The announcement drew significant industry attention with the confirmation that Hollywood stunt director Andrew Stehlin, who has built his career primarily working on major Hollywood productions, will be designing and executing action sequences for one of the Malayalam films.
This collaboration marks a rare and landmark moment for Malayalam cinema, as a globally experienced stunt professional known for large-scale international films brings his action expertise to the regional industry.
Andrew Stehlin’s professional credentials substantially elevate the stature of the project. His filmography includes globally acclaimed titles such as Hacksaw Ridge, The Hobbit: The Battle of the Five Armies, and the Bollywood blockbuster Ek Tha Tiger, along with several other high-profile international productions. His involvement reflects a clear intent to introduce disciplined, technically advanced, and internationally benchmarked action choreography into Malayalam cinema.

In addition to the Malayalam projects, Royal Cinema also announced its entry into Hindi cinema with a major feature film to be written and directed by veteran filmmaker Dilip Shukla, widely respected for iconic films such as Dabangg, Ghayal, Damini, and Jai Ho. Enhancing the creative framework further, the song lyrics for this Hindi film will be penned by Avinash Tripathi, adding a distinctive literary and emotional dimension to the project.

Royal Cinema has already built a strong legacy in Malayalam cinema, having produced several successful and critically appreciated films, including multiple memorable collaborations with legendary actor Mammootty. With a proven regional foundation, the production house is now strategically extending its vision toward Hindi cinema, aiming to establish a sustained and credible pan-Indian presence.

With the integration of Hollywood-trained stunt expertise, experienced Indian storytellers, and a clearly articulated long-term vision, Royal Cinema’s latest announcements underline its ambition to align regional cinema with global technical standards—opening a new creative chapter for both the Malayalam and Hindi film industries.
